Cyber Defense Forensics

Description

In this course, learners will develop a broad and practical foundation in IT, cybersecurity, and digital forensics – progressing from core IT concepts and cloud computing through to threat analysis, security governance, and incident response. Learners will explore fundamental IT concepts including data, CPUs, devices, operating systems, and the CIA Triad, and examine cloud computing principles across Azure and Agile environments. They will build operating system and infrastructure skills across Windows, Linux, and macOS, covering system hardening, backup and recovery, and network management. Learners will analyse malware threats through detection, classification, and infected system analysis, before developing a strong grounding in information security governance, risk management, multi-year InfoSec planning, business continuity, and data security. The course concludes with Windows exploitation and forensic intelligence gathering, crisis management, and structured incident response procedures aligned to the Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) framework.
