In this course, learners will develop a thorough and practical understanding of ChatGPT and generative AI – from core concepts and everyday applications through to advanced prompt engineering and ethical considerations. Learners will explore how generative AI works, how to use ChatGPT in personal and business contexts, and how to identify and avoid common pitfalls and risks. They will apply prompt engineering techniques through hands-on labs covering creative writing, language learning, and effective prompt construction. Learners will then examine ChatGPT’s practical use cases across industries, fine-tune their prompting skills, and critically evaluate the ethical, privacy, and intellectual property implications of generative AI use. The course concludes with an introduction to the OpenAI API and Playground, equipping learners to begin integrating ChatGPT capabilities into their own workflows and applications.
